3K - $84K a year Responsibilities Communicate with trade partners & team members regarding upcoming, new & current projects Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand Select metrics to produce valid estimates Attend pre-bid meetings and other miscellaneous project site visits Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data Prepare bids for submission to appropriate parties Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects, etc.
) Stay current on all safety and other procedural training.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills Proven experience as construction estimator Strong understanding of civil construction Ability to read civil drawings Ability to determine cut & fill amounts, as required Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics Basic GPS equipment operation experience preferred Comfortable with numbers and technology Great attention to detail Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Well-organized and reliable Proficient with MS Word & Excel Work Remotely No Salary based on experience and job qualifications.
